Sean C. Englert is the owner and founder of Coastal Land Solutions, Inc., a small land surveying, land planning, and civil engineering firm in Encinitas, California. He obtained an Associate of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 1998 and a Bachelor or Science degree in Construction Engineering Technology in 1999 from Purdue University.
Sean began his surveying career in 1997 in Indiana with a small land surveying and civil engineering firm. Upon his arrival to San Diego in 1999, he worked for one of San Diego's largest land surveying and civil engineerig firms in the production and project management of large scale development projects. Since 2001, he has been actively involved in a near equal balance of field surveys and office land surveying tasks with an emphasis on complex boundary retracements and resolutions.
Sean has been very active in the California Land Surveyors Association (C.L.S.A.) at the State level and with the San Diego Chapter. He was the president of the San Diego Chapter of C.L.S.A. in 2008. He has been chairperson or actively involved in regards to the organizations bylaws, education, professional practices, legislative, and nomination committees. He has also been an instructor from 2007 through 2010 for the legal descriptions portion of the San Diego Chapter Land Surveyor Review. Sean has also been the guest speaker for the San Diego Chapter of C.L.S.A. in regards to the controversial topic of record boundary surveys and liabilities associated with these types of surveys and also made a presentation regarding the use of private survey records in boundary retracements. Sean is one of the driving forces in L.S.A.C.T.S. as he is dedicated to the advancement of the profession as well as the public's perception of land surveying.
